Who we are
Cause Cart is run by CVC International Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. CVC International is the data controller for the information described here.
If you bought from a participating brand
The brand shares your order number, order date and order value with Cause Cart so the order can be matched to a school item. We don't receive your name, address or payment details. If the brand emails you your private tracker link, it uses the email address you gave it.
Your tracker link is private. Anyone who has the link can see the page, so only share it if you want to. If you open it, your browser remembers it on that device so you can see your orders together; you can remove it from the page at any time.
If you are a partner or field agent
We keep your name, work email and role so you can sign in, plus a record of what you log, such as handover records, photos, voice notes and, if you choose to add it, your phone's location at the time of a log. Voice notes are turned into text by an AI transcription service.
Pupils and schools
We never record children's names. We only use a photo showing a child's face if a parent or guardian has given written consent, and we keep a record of that consent. Public pages only ever show the district, never school names or exact locations. Photos are re-saved before upload, which removes hidden location data.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete information about you, or object to how it's used. Contact CVC International to make a request. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies and storage
Cause Cart doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Signing in stores a session key in your browser so you stay signed in. The Field Logger keeps unsent logs on the phone until they're sent.
